Our group likes exploring past and present discoveries about the Greek peoples as they developed over 3000 years in the Mediterranean. We look at findings from early and current archaeology along with discussion of museum visits, historical sources, literature, legend and myths.

We examine the early Bronze Age cultures of the Cyclades, Minoans and Mycenaeans, through the Iron Age to the development of Greek city states and the first democracy in Classical Athens.
