This time nearer to home, We were wine tasting at Buckden Towers outside in the knot Garden if fine, but it was a bit windy so indoors in the room that Katherine of Aragon was imprisoned for a year.
Hosted by Williams Family Wines who are based in Buckden. The five vineyards they use are in various uk counties, but the fermentation and maturing is done in Buckden.
On arrival we were greeted with glasses(yes more than one) of sparkling wine.

Then inside to start on the first of the 5 wines accompanies by cheese and cold meats.
I think the WAG’s were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the wine, with the various methods and grapes a lot of lovely flavours to savour. What also made the visit so enjoyable was our hosts Nick and Julia who were lovely and knowledgeable .
