Thank you for all expressing an interest to form a fens group.  For the last 30 years I have been developing an interest in the fens, especially biodiversity, but I am increasingly becoming facinated in the cultural, historical, farming, potential climate impacts on land use.  So I welcome the opportunity to set up a U3A fens group, to discover the fens.  I envisage we will all have different backgrounds and certainly will have different interests, and the first meeting will be to establish what our common interests are and from that we can develop a programme of meetings.  A mixture of indoor and field trips.
